This was my first attempt at recording ambiance. There's some pops from the microphone, but i thought some parts could be still usable. Recording at 44. 1 khz/ 16 bits. No process applied.

I used a recording app on my samsung galaxy 3 phone to capture a caged parrot talking to itself, outside of a local restaurant. Unfortunately there was also a couple talking - but the parrot is loud and distinctive. A little wind noise. Cleaned up in audacity. And i have no idea what the parrot was saying!.

Late morning in early autumn outside the village of sayda in the east german erzgebirge forest area. Birdsong, some frogs, forest noises and a distant highway can be heard. Recorded with a zoom h2, 90° dispersion.

And lift off! i made a recording by fluttering a golden spatula from near to far (take off). I managed to get this effect by wiggeling the spatula between my thumb and index finger. This was recorded at open window institute's (gauteng, south africa) sound booth.

A railway arch under the mainline just near waterloo east station, london se1. Sparrows and wood pigeons can be heard, together with the whine of the stationary train on the tracks above, and the deeper rumble as the train moves off.

Walking in a vietnamese village, two old motorbikes with small engine passing by with gentle sound, some roosters crowing in the background, also tropical insects, human voices speaking vietnamese, footsteps can be heard and some extra noise.

There's a bit at the start when i open my window but the rest should be a clean recording of the like, 8 ducks that were sitting on my tree having a little duck party or something.

The same bonnie file but this time run through rx's spectral denoise to clean it up a bit. A little bird noise is still audible between the clicks, but pulling samples from it should be much cleaner and easier to isolate. Enjoy.

Owl hooting: you can hear a very distinct owl sound created through foley by lowing air into folded hand. An almost glissando of pitch is present to create a realistic feel. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. Great for a night-time scene and to fill up atmosphere an ambiences.

Hi. This soundfile was recorded on 03. 06. 2017 in szczecin, nw poland (gumience district to be precise). The time of this recording is from around 3 a. M. (when the sun was allready rising) till around 7:30 a. M. What's funny about that, is that i turned my recorder on and layed it on the windowsill (display up) on altitude around 5 meters (first floor), (the recorder is facing ne direction) because the birds were allready going crazy!, and after some time i felt asleep, and the recorder was left on. There are many many kinds of birds around, cause there is a big cementery near by, with lots of trees, and some wild fruit orchard too. I had this one moment, when the birds were so active, that let's say they spinned it me around, and worked me up to a beautifull spiritual moment with their sounds, and then i felt asleep. Later through the recording you can hear me snoring, you can hear my alarm clock going on (and that haven't woken me up too;). The bass resonance of cars passing by makes this recording a bit heavy in some places, and the wind made it's mark too, but that shoudn't be a big of an issue here. As i listen to it now, so much things happened while i was asleep. . . [ 3:30 a. M. !: some people are singing and speaking, and you can clearly hear one of them saying: "kurwa, grubo", which means - "f**k, heavy". Later on, the neighbours weren't sloppy too;). Hearing such recordings doesn't give you the liminous feeling of the place where it was recorded. You only get audio here, not the vision, the light, the brightness, the movement, the actions, and the space, the physical elements, only the best can imagine (so if you don't have such an imagination, pm me and i can send you a photo of the place where all this took place). Anyway, i hope that the birds will keep rockin' their solos, and the bees will keep visiting all the flowers around forever! (who knows, i might become one of them sometime;). I recorded this from a balcony (5th floor) in the middle of a summer day (end of july), using a mid/side set (mkh30 + c480 b-uls/ck62-df omni) into sound devices mixpre3. Not any processing has been added, except a plain m/s to x/y stereo conversion and low-cut filter (30hz). This is a generally quiet atmo, sometimes light wind comes in, some seagulls and other birds are there at times, some construction work happens etc. The traffic noise is present, but in the distant way. Feel free to use it in any of your productions. Not for resale.

Amid the din of my neighbor's barking dog, passing traffic and singing birds, you can hear the quacking of a large flock of ducks in the quiet river outside my kitchen window (i don't know the species to this day). I used the built-in microphone of my mini lenovo laptop to record this.

Found an old abandoned truck on a hike - recorded the squeaking and creaking of the doors opening and closing and stressing different parts of the metal. (it was done outdoors, so there may be some birds).
